The workshop on “Gamification of Educational Lessons,” conducted by Dr. Shekhar Trivedi on Saturday, 25th May 2024, focused on instilling gamified thinking among teachers. Dr. Trivedi, a management professor at GHS-IMR Kanpur, has significant expertise in gamification and has trained 450 faculty members, including those from Jawaharlal Nehru University and Amity University. The workshop is part of his goal to train 1,000 teachers in gamifying educational lessons this academic year. Dr. Trivedi has developed 15 educational games in in board, quasi-physical settings, and multimedia formats addressing the challenge of decreasing student attention spans. The workshop highlighted the benefits of gamified learning, such as increased student involvement, better concept understanding, and real-world skill application.
