Sports as an Essential Part of the School Curriculum

Sports are a vital component of the school curriculum and contribute significantly to the students’ overall development. Sports are essential for schools for the following reasons:

Participating in sports gives students a chance to be active and keep up their physical fitness. Participating in sports on a regular basis can help prevent obesity and other health problems.

Physical activity is essential to enhance mental health and wellness. Sports can improve self-esteem and confidence while lowering stress and anxiety.

Sports demand teamwork and collaboration, which teaches the students to cooperate & collaborate in order to achieve a common objective. Sports teach the students to be more disciplined, responsive and dedicated. Social abilities like leadership, empathy, decision making, speed, punctuality tolerance, communication are developed as a result of games and sports.
