Assam Valley School in India organized a Round Square Zoom Postcard on Wednesday, November 2nd, 2022, with the theme “War settles nothing”.
This event was inspired by Round Square: an International Network of 200 like-minded schools to collaborate and connect students from around the world. The students were first introduced to the keynote of the event, Mr. Puspak Chamaria who enlightened the participants with his point of view on different major events happening around the world. The candidates were then separated into sixteen Barraza groups, with students aged 16-18 from schools around the world where they discussed their views and experiences regarding the life-altering events happening around us . It was an extremely immersive and educational experience.
The participants and the host posed an abundance of questions ranging from their stance on various incidents to the solution to world problems going on. Time really seemed to fly and the hour the students had felt short to discuss their invigorating ideas. Our students not only got to know about distinguishable happenings around the world but also got to know how they affected the lives of an average citizen of society.
