My visit to Mahua, Asia’s richest village, for adventure activities on 7th June 2023 was memorable. It is a small but beautiful place and is known for polly farming. We met Major Priya Jhingan , an Indian Army Officer and Lady Cadet No. 1, now a mountaineer and a motivational speaker. Major Priya talked to us about Sustainable Happiness.
In her words, it is the happiness that contributes to individual, community or global well-being and does not exploit other people, the environment or future generations. She spoke on how in different ways one can create a happy and sustainable community.
It was an enriching session where we learnt to appreciate and value the genuine wealth and be grateful to all the blessings we have been bestowed with. I also understood the true meaning of Mindfulness, that is when we learn to accept and be happy for the present.
After this we went for adventure activities which included Zip Lining and Burma Bridge. It was a day well spent with a lot of learning. I am grateful to be a part of Round Square Community.
