On the 8th of September, the young scholars of Class II embarked on an exciting journey to the Airforce Station Chakeri, where they participated in a memorable Tree Plantation Drive. Over 100 saplings found their new homes in various corners of the station. This immersive experience was carefully designed to foster environmental awareness and instill a sense of environmental responsibility in our budding students.
During their visit, not only did they actively engage in the act of planting saplings, but they also had the unique opportunity to explore the inner workings of the Air Force base, including the aircraft repair and storage areas known as ‘hangers.’ This holistic experience left an indelible impression on our young minds.
Learning Outcomes:
- This activity seamlessly integrated values of environmental stewardship into the students’ education.
- The excursion brought our students in direct contact with the natural environment, fostering a deep appreciation for the world around them.
- Practical lessons on plant care were imparted, equipping our students with valuable skills for nurturing the green world they had helped create.
- Beyond environmental awareness, our students were inspired by glimpses of the Air Force’s operations, instilling a sense of patriotism and admiration for those who serve our nation.
