The students of Grade V of Seth Anandram Jaipuria School,Kanpur visited the Spastic Centre at Bal Bhawan on 19th October 2023. This Zero Waste Event was organized by the Spastic Centre- Ashayen in collaboration with Kanpur Ploggers.
The exhibition had hand-made products on sale like scented candles, diyas, recycled paper bags, etc. made by the Specially Abled Children. It had game stalls organized by them.
Since it was a Zero Waste event, the students were asked to carry their own cloth bags and water bottles. The main aim of taking the students to such an event was to create awareness about waste management and environment conservation. Our students met the Specially Abled children and learnt how to be positive in life. They learnt the importance of being empathetic and compassionate to the specially abled people. The event fostered awareness in our students and the students learnt to contribute towards a cleaner, greener and a more sustainable future.
