Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Kanpur organized its first virtual conference ‘Eunoia: As Excellence Evolves’ on 19th and 20th December, 2020. The conference revolved around the 16th United Nations Sustainable Development Goal: Promotion of just, peaceful and inclusive societies while also keeping in mind the Round Square IDEALS of Internationalism, Democracy, Leadership and Service.
The school hosted participants from 15 schools of international repute.
The two-day conference saw insightful keynote sessions presided over by two prominent personalities, Dr. Pratima Khandelwal and Dr. Tamanna Chaturvedi. Dr. Pratima Khandelwal is the founder of FlyHigh, an MSME educational service entity in Bangalore. Dr. Tamanna Chaturvedi is a faculty at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), Ministry of Commerce, Government of India. The keynote speakers engaged with the students and introduced them to new global paradigms. The question and answer session proved to be extremely informative and insightful for all present.
The students were segregated into six Baraza sessions where they discussed and deliberated issues of international eminence. Students also engaged in informal discussions on various sub-topics related to the agenda of the conference.
An activity named Resolve o’Clock was also organized where participants discussed possible solutions to the constantly changing world crises. It focused on strong leadership qualities and adoption of suitable ideologies for global enhancement.
This virtual conclave saw the celebration of diverse cultures through folk presentations where students from different schools displayed their rich heritage through folk dances and tales. This served as a great example of the importance of learning and sharing cultures.
This conference was able to inculcate in students a progressive approach towards the challenges of the present and the future by motivating them to reflect on the words of the keynote speakers and collaborate with like-minded peers. It was indeed a great amalgamation of social,economic and political ideals where young minds harnessed the opportunity to consult, cooperate and collaborate.
