Educational visit to Maharana Pratap Ayurvedic College and Hospital

A group of 20 students from grade X (25-26) escorted by two teachers Ms Talat Jafri and Mr Rohan Gulati visited Maharana Pratap Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital on 19th March 25 as part of British Council Activity .The Educational visit gave the students an invaluable insight into how Ayurvedic medicine integrates with modern healthcare to enhance patient care The tour included Panchkarma Block ,OPD, Emergency block, Research labs, Forensic department, Pharmacy, etc. The students observed how the hospital blends Ayurvedic treatments with modern diagnostic techniques. Notably, the Botanical Garden was home to medicinal plants used in treatments, while the Research Labs focused on scientifically validating Ayurvedic practices.

The hospital’s approach emphasized holistic care, focusing not only on treatment but also on preventive wellness, which was evident in their lifestyle and dietary programs. Students were not only informed about the benefits of meditation and yoga asanas but were also guided to perform the same in the campus.

The visit highlighted the growing importance of combining traditional and modern medical practices. The students also learnt that the medical college’s curriculum prepares students through rigorous clinical training, ensuring proficiency in both Ayurveda and modern medicine. The hospital’s holistic approach to health care, treating the root causes of illness, stood out as a key takeaway.
