Cultural Coincidence – Round Square Event- Birla Public School, Pilani

“Time, as it grows old, teaches all things”- Aeschylus

Greek and Indian Mythology are two of the oldest mythologies known to man. Although both mythologies have no established connection with each other, they share some striking similarities. The Birla Public School, Pilani organized a Round Square conference to visit the days of the past.

The Conference started with the introductory video of the school followed by the insightful address of their Principal and later Director encouraging the participant schools towards an enthusiastic and thoroughgoing discussion in their respectful Barazza. The event had Mr.Ritesh Ranjan as the keynote speaker who is an Art / Design Historian, Curator, Trained Career Counsellor, Educator and Researcher; working on issues related to Art / Design, Conflict, Gender, class, and Politics along with his professional commitments. His intuitive presentation strengthened the foundation of the participants for a significant discussion.
The different presentation of the pre-work videos of various schools all across the world displayed the keen interests and the treasurable proficiency the students gained. The Barazza sessions were engaging and informative making us aware of the various perspective of the candidates over a plethora of topics.  The conference ended on a high note with a quiz and Vote of Thanks.

Altogether, the interaction gave all of us a new perspective of our mythological history, new learnings, and taught the teachings of time.
