Four students – Ritika Jain(11 A), Pranjali Gupta(11 A), Kunal Bhatia(11 C), and Aditya Pareek (11 A) participated in a Round Square Event organized by Birla Public School Pilani held on 8th and 10th November 2021 named “Chemagix” in which we had to show the solution to a problem related to 17 SDGs present. The representative for the same from our school was Mr. Manish Seksaria (Vice Principal, Senior School)and the delegation was monitored by Senior Delegate Mrs. Sunita Srivastava (PGT Chemistry).

Day 1 (8th Nov 2021) commenced with the introduction to the event and an informative speech by the keynote speaker Dr. B. Ebenezer. The Barraza session consisted of a discussion regarding the two pre-given chemistry activities. Our students actively participated in the Barazza discussion which was held in their respective breakout rooms.

Day 2 (10th Nov 2021) included educational and enlightening presentations regarding different SDGs and their solutions presented by the participating schools and an interesting game related to chemistry. The keynote speaker 2 – Mr. George Jacob addressed and acquainted us of problems caused by Polystyrene to the environment followed by a vote of thanks by The Principal of Birla Public school, Pilani Captain (IN) Alokesh Sen.

This two-day event was very informative and enriching where students tried to find out solutions to SDGs using Chemistry.
