The students of Seth Anandram Jaipuria School Kanpur visited an old age home in Damodar Nagar to interact and spend time with the aged. We spent a couple of hours there and had valuable take aways. The people there were all educated, from well to do families, who had sacrificed a lot for their children but were abandoned by them. The children heard their stories, played games like Antakshri and karaoke and helped them with their necessities in whatever way they could. Visiting old Age home was an enriching experience. It made us appreciate the elderly and their contributions to society, and also made us aware of the challenges they face. Students left the Old Age Home with a sense of gratitude and respect for the residents and the staff who take care of them.
